YOUR DATA, PLAINLY EXPLAINED
Privacy Policy
A philosophical journey should invite reflection, not uncertainty about your data. This policy explains what we collect and why.
Effective September 14, 2026
Information we collect
You can explore the public parts of Philosophy Journey without creating an account. When you sign in, we receive the account details needed to identify you and keep your session active.
- Journey progress: when signed in, your answers, completed encounters, reflections, and reading preferences are stored in your Supabase account so you can continue on another device. Guests save only in their browser. Device caches and recovery copies may remain until you clear this site's browser storage.
- Email sign-in: your email address and authentication information are processed by Supabase. Philosophy Journey does not receive your plain-text password.
- Google sign-in: Google may provide your name, email address, profile image, and a unique account identifier after you consent.
- Technical information: our hosting and authentication providers may process ordinary security and diagnostic data such as browser details, timestamps, and network information.
How we use information
We use account information to sign you in, maintain your session, protect the service, respond to support requests, and operate features connected to your journey. We do not sell personal information or use your Google account data for advertising.
Services that help run the journey
Philosophy Journey relies on Supabase for authentication, Google for optional Google sign-in, and OpenAI Sites and its infrastructure providers for hosting. Those providers process information under their own privacy terms and security practices.
Retention and your choices
We keep account information only while it is reasonably needed to provide and secure the service or meet legal obligations. You may sign out at any time, choose email sign-in instead of Google, revoke Philosophy Journey from your Google Account, or ask us to delete account information we control.
Children and changes
Philosophy Journey is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the game develops; material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date.
